In the west, there are three items that a cowboy truly needs. First is a good horse, second is a comfortable saddle, and the third is a good pair of chaps or chinks.
Chaps were first used by the Mexican Vaqueros. Thus the name chaps, comes from the Spanish word “chapaderos.”
Nobody really knows when chinks came into existence or where the name came from. Some believe it came from the term chink of wood which is shorter than a cord of wood. Chinks are a short pair of chaps.
To order a pair of chaps, I need a few simple measurements.
The chaps and chinks can be ordered in light brown, medium brown, dark brown or black. I sometimes have other color choices in stock, so call me if you have something else in mind. You also get your choice of top plate tooling and your choice of conchos so look at the options available.
As with all of the products I make, your shipping is free within the continental United States. I know that you will wear and enjoy these chaps for many years to come. Thanks for your interest in my products.
